Call of the violent
As promised, pic updates in the blog as they happen:
As you already know, I worked with the Tucson Rollerderby on a set of bout posters that a few people dug (thanks ma) and you may also know that they opted for their pet flyer designer Bradley Zimmerman this time round. But, the brave folks who film the bouts have tapped me to design their shirts for when they film TRD stuff. Above is the first half of that shirt design.
I'd be lying if I said I don't miss creating flyers for them. It was a pretty big ego booster to see my flyers being bought up at the events (sometimes even being sold out...woot!) But, I wasn't making any bank off em so I opted out of this season. But, there's happy ending to that story: I've been asked to contribute to 2 publications by the hard rockin' Sal Canzonieri of Electric Frankenstein. "A Fistfull of Rock" and a book about rollerderby due later in the year. So keep your eyes peeled folks!
